Citizen comments on casino dominate first half of council meeting — Glendale Star

Although the major topic of discussion on city council’s agenda Tuesday evening was a three-day paid holiday for all city employees, the first half of the 90-minute meeting was spent listening to citizen comments. And the majority of those comments were statements of support for the resort and casino proposed by the Tohono O’odham Nation at 95th and Northern avenues.

Ten individuals stepped to the podium to ask council to go to the table and sit down with the Tohono O’odham Nation representatives and enter into a dialogue.
