Communities show support for casino — Daily News-Sun

The Tohono O’odham Nation in partnership with the city of Tolleson hosted a hospitality suite for invited elected officials during the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Conference in Oro Valley last week.

Ned Norris Jr., chairman of the Tohono O’odham, addressed officials at the event, thanking those who have supported the tribe’s effort to bring the West Valley Resort casino to land it owns next to Glendale.

“We are excited to bring this project to the West Valley,” Norris said, adding that the tribe and Glendale officials can “hopefully get beyond” their differences.
