More than 6,000 people are needed for just the construction phase of the project and once it opens, more than 3,000 people will have a permanent, stable job to go to everyday. There’s nothing more comforting than having a steady paycheck to cover rent, groceries, and water bills. And thanks to the West Valley Resort, not only will those 3,000 people benefit from being employed, but 3,000 families will feel the benefits as well.

In addition to the thousands of jobs that will be created, the construction of the West Valley Resort will generate more than $100 million in additional tax revenue that will benefit surrounding governments. That means places like Peoria, Glendale, Avondale, Tolleson, Litchfield Park, and Surprise, among others, will positively feel the impact of this project.

Once the facility is up and running the impacts are even bigger. More than $300 million in new economic impacts each year will be generated from the West Valley Resort. That’s $300 million that will be invested right here in Arizona.

The West Valley Resort isn’t just about business. It’s about strengthening a community. The Tohono O’odham Nation and its gaming enterprise takes pride in the community partnerships that are created through good neighbor relations. We don’t just exist in a neighborhood; we participate.

Take a look at our record and you’ll see just how active we are. Our enterprise has supported hundreds of charitable organizations throughout southern Arizona, everything from little league teams to senior care non-profits to health research organizations.

We’re proud of our contributions and the contributions all Arizona Indian casinos make. In fact, since 2004, Indian gaming has contributed more than $530 million to the State of Arizona, including its cities, towns and counties.

During that time, more than $47 million has been directly awarded to local governments and non-profits from Arizona gaming tribes through the 12% program. The Tohono O’odham Nation has been and continues to be a part of that program and has been able to positively impact communities throughout Arizona. For example, the Tohono O’odham Nation has donated funds for public safety, education, health care, and other focus areas to places such as Tucson, Nogales, Pinetop, Casa Grande, Goodyear, Peoria, and Tolleson, just to name a few.
