Glendale rejects casino-deal referendums — Arizona Republic

Glendale has rejected two referendums filed by groups opposing development of a West Valley casino.

City Clerk Pam Hanna on Tuesday determined that the subject matter of the referendums are administrative, not legislative, and cannot be put on the ballot for the voters to decide.

Gary Hirsch, chairman of the opposition groups, said opponents will consider filing a lawsuit about the issue.
