Press Release — Major Expansion Announced for West Valley Casino

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE) announced today that it will break ground before the end of the year on a major expansion to its Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley near Glendale. Construction is expected to last 20 months. Once it is complete, the facility will have expanded into a full-scale casino and resort with a larger gaming floor, five restaurants, bars, Class III games, table games and other amenities. The existing casino will remain open throughout the construction.

TOGE first opened the doors of Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley in December 2015 and has experienced strong success. That interim facility employs nearly 600 people and currently offers guests 1,089 Class II gaming devices on a 35,000 square-foot gaming floor.

The expansion will offer a multitude of new entertainment options to guests. The full-scale property will occupy over one million square-feet, including five restaurants and 75,000 square-feet of casino floor with 1,089 Class III slots, live poker, blackjack, and bingo. Once completed, the fully built-out casino will create over 3,000 new jobs in the West Valley.
